1 Kibagami, Jubei [Done] on Fri Apr 01, 2016 11:06 am

Kibagami Jubei

NAME(S): Kibagame Jubei
NICKNAME(S): The Hungry Wolf
AGE: 21
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
GUILD: Dragon Maw
TATTOO: Center of the Neck (On the Adams Apple)
FACE CLAIM: Makato Suoh - Project K

Jubei's physical build is like a picture of perfection. He stands 6'2 and weighs 205lbs of solid well-toned muscle. His skin tone is white though slightly tanned, showing he is no stranger to being outdoors. He has broad shoulders which only adds to his regal bearing and attitude; his posture only simply exudes this. His eye brows are a little bushy and always look make him look as angry, which most times isn't the case. His voices is deep and commanding, making it an easy one to remember if heard or recognize if heard.

The most noticeable characteristic of Jubei is his eye color. His eyes are best described as being like the color of dark yellow, and always have a mischievous yet relaxed look about them. In the light it almost appears as if they are luminescent. His teeth are perfectly white and his canine teeth are noticeably more pointed than the average person, giving him an feral almost wolfish look when he grins. His hair color is dark red and is ear length. Jubei has no particular preference for a style, and is prone to simply sliding it back with his hands (somewhat of a habit).

He has a few minor scars on his body from incidents in his youth. What stands out the most is his large tattoo that spans from his chest, over both shoulders and halfway down his back. On both sides is a Japanese dragon, one black with white eyes the other white with black eyes. The two heads meet face to face on Jubei's chest. The black dragon's face is seen snarling as if ready to attack, while the white dragon's face appears calm and composed. Their long bodies go over the shoulders and travel down his back, both bodies never crossing as they create an "S" shaped pattern with the tails of both stopping at the center of the back; completely parallel to each other and mirroring each others pattern. The tattoos is meant to serve as a balance, similar to the yin and yang concept. On his right arm, spanning from shoulder to elbow is the name "Jubei" the J being on the shoulder drawn in old english letters, while the other letters are in standard print. He has no tattoo on the left arm, but on his left hand's middle finger is a small tattoo of an Ankh.

Jubei dresses how he wants as he prefers his own style over anything else. Mostly he can be found wearing blue jean pants, some may even have designs on them. A black T-shirt particularly a plain one and the length of the shirt will always go past his waist line. Over this he will wear a blue jacket with the sleeves rolled up, the jacket itself is thin and is more closer to being a long sleeve button up shirt than a jacket. The collar of the jacket has fur on it that Jubei would willing tell anyone is the fur from a wolf. Lastly his shoes typically matches his undershirt which are black. In addition to this he prefers to wear baggy jeans (blue or black), more for the style and comfort.

HAIR: Dark Red
EYES: Dark Yellow

Jubei is a man that is gifted with knowing how to say just the right things to get what he wants, or so he would have one believe. This is especially applies to when he speaks to the opposite gender, as he is quite the smooth talker. Being that sweeping woman off their feet is one of his favorite past times he may sometimes even lose focus of his true goals, though these occurrences are aren't common. He enjoys immersing himself in any party or celebration he goes to and can get along with just about anyone he meets, in these moments at least. When it comes to business, he is naturally talented at working his plans into the heads of people, by any means to make sure he gets what he wants. One might believe that Jubei just enjoys enjoys hearing himself talk, and though this might not be far from truth, he never spouts random nonsense unless he is simply teasing someone.

Jubei has a thirst for knowledge that is matched only by his lust for money, fame, and power. He is a firm believer in the whole "a mind is a terrible thing to waste" concept. So he will usually study thoroughly about certain things that may hold value in the future. This could be ranging from region geography or urban legends that may surround certain islands. Because he is always looking to make more money he feels such knowledge is necessary so that he may actually have a general idea of what he is looking for. Even if the sale of knowledge is what he is looking for. This may also come into play, which go hand and hand with his charismatic ways, when he needs to pump people for information. Because of his natural way with words he uses it to further his knowledge, even if it means putting together key parts of what a person is saying just to get an understanding. This in mind he will rarely jump into any altercation if he can't, he would rather pick the brains of people to determine if he should even bother fighting them.

Jubei's number one fan is Jubei. The man loves himself almost as much as he loves making more money. He believes himself to be a visionary unlike other people these days. He already feels he is the epitome of the greatness and isn't shy in the least to admit it. To him the world is his stage and he plays the role of the leading man. Which may lead many to believe he might be a fame junkie, and though this may not be far from true his desire for more power and money out weigh his desire for fame. Simply put the man's ego is off the charts and it is quite obvious by the way he carries himself that he is extremely confident in all he does. He does somewhat care what others think, only in this aspect, as he feels all should see him as he views himself. As a result he will often make decisions that would never conflict with his "reputation" as he would state, making him an unpredictable man as no one can truly guess what he has going on in his head.

Money is always the motivation for Jubei to move forward. To him money is power, and this power grants its master the possibility to do anything. This in mind, he is always plotting on how he can acquire more of it as fast as possible. He isn't above double-crossing others to acquire money either and will smile in your face as he does it. Only in the most severe cases, like for example his life being on the line, will he ever abandon the idea of acquiring. Though he never openly shows his affection for it as any wise man will know that secrecy is apart of diplomacy as well. And keeping ones vices properly hidden ensured leverage stays in ones favor.

MAGIC: Smoke Magic

User can create, shape and manipulate smoke, collection of airborne solid and liquid particulates and gases emitted when a material undergoes combustion or pyrolysis, together with the quantity of air that is entrained or otherwise mixed into the mass. It is commonly an unwanted by-product of fires, with smoke inhalation being the primary cause of death in victims of indoor fires. The smoke kills by a combination of thermal damage, poisoning and pulmonary irritation caused by carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide and other combustion products.

The magic itself can be used for smokescreens or the removal of such, the density can be increased as means to provide solid hits (projectiles or even used to capture foes), and even be used as a means for transportation. This is only to name a few (further details seem more fitting in the actual creation of magic spells and whatnot. If not I can start listing the spells I intend to make or something.) The biggest downside to this is that if met with a big enough force of wind, the smoke can be dispersed, pushed away, or weakened (if being used as a solid), basically making wind it's natural enemy.

Adopted at birth, never knowing who his true family was, Jubei was raised by a rather wealthy family of thieves. The leader of this group, only known by the name Erozay, discovered the baby abandoned in near a dumpster. Whether it was compassion or intrigue that moved the man, none knew for sure, but he took the baby boy and brought him into his family. He named the infant Jubei and gave him his own last name, Kibagami. Many wondered what moved Erozay to adopt the boy, the man himself being one who was not fond of children, but few dared to question his motives. For them it was just another thief in training to add to their ranks.

The years to follow, as Jubei became of age to start his training as a thief, the group of thieves had become much bigger and established themselves as a guild. Erozay taught Jubei personally, unlike most others who were delegated to be taught by other lower ranked members. Jubei was to be groomed as the next leader of the guild and Erozay needed to ensure that the boy was not being taught any stupid habits. However, Jubei was far from  natural. In fact he often peformed below those that were taught by much less competent guild members. Still, Erozay never let up on the boy, much to the disapproval of the veteran members. His focus on the boys training had begun to be viewed as a pointless endeavor and many desired for Erozay to choose another disciple to groom into leadership. When these complaints continued to grow, whispers of dissent began to reach Jubei's ears.

When Jubei reached the age of 10, the guild would make its move against their leader in the form of trying to remove Jubei from the equation permanently. Staging it like a kidnapping from a rival guild, the guilds most skilled members abducted the young Jubei and hid him away in an abandoned mine outside of there hometown. When Erozay heard of this he waged a war against the other guilds, a choice that resulted in his demise at the opposing guilds hands. Like sharks swarming at the scent of blood in the water, the enemy thieves guilds pushed to finish off Erozay's guild members and completely obliterated any remnants of them. All except the young Jubei and a handful of men that were his captors.

Leaderless and now sorely lacking in number, the remaining members discarded Jubei so that they could perhaps change sides. Assuming that the kid would only prove to be a liability to getting in, they knocked him out and left him bruised, beaten, and alone on the farthest outskirts of the town. A decision that proved foolish when the remaining members were killed by the enemy thieves guilds to ensure none would ever revive what Erozay had built.

With nowhere to go Jubei was left with only one thing to fall back on, his sub-par thieving skills. Whether it was fate or dumb luck, Jubei survived liked this for several years; doing his utmost to maintain a low profile. By the time he was 16, he had become somewhat of a professional with survival being his biggest motivation to get it all right. He saved up as much as he could and by the time he was 18, he was ready to leave his old life behind him. It was around this age that his life would make a change for better or worse.

He'd journey away from the thief ridden city and found himself in Crocus and immediately settled there. With the little money he had, he rented a small one studio apartment that shared a bathroom with the tenant next to him. He attempted to try to make a normal living, though he soon grew to distaste the normal 9 to 5 way of life. Like an old addiction kicking back in, he soon feel into his old thieving ways but soon realized that this city was not like the one he had left.

He broke into the home of an unknown victim and was almost immediately caught by the resident. After a brief struggle the resident, and older woman, took notice to the young man's features and rather than have him arrested inquired as to who he was. With hopes that cooperation would avoid him being tossed in jail, he truthfully told her who he was. Putting the pieces of his story together the woman burst into tears as she embraced Jubei. It was revealed that she had left a baby in the town Jubei described. He learned that he was the product of infidelity on the mother's behalf with a servant and was forced to hide away her secret with magic. She had ordered the servant to take the child far away from any ire that would come if her husband found out.

The encounter lead to the two having several secret meetings where Jubei would ask questions about her and the family she had. It was then he learned that he had a brother, Lucien DarkRose, who at the time was off doing his own thing. It was also during these times that he began to show interest in magic. Whether it was out of guilt or simply to help her son, the woman directed her son someone that could educate him on such things. Being that his career as thief wasn't all that great, Jubei was quite willing to go along with such things.

After only after a few months on Crocus, Jubei left to seek out this individual who could teach him how to use magic. The journey itself took several months and by the time he had arrived at the location of what he assumed would be his teachers home; he had only the clothes on his back. The teacher was hidden away from the world, deep in the small forest known notoriously for its smokey atmosphere.

The teacher, Okesmay, took note of the young man's arrival and after a brief explanation from Jubei as to why he was there; agreed to teach the boy some magic. The magic was the only one the man was skilled at, but he stated that this magic was not limited to just covering a forest. The training was a grueling since Jubei wasn't particularly talented at its use, however, he was dedicated nonetheless. He rolled with the punches and practice each of Okesmay's lessons until it was burned in his memory.

In two years time Jubei, who was now 20, had become competent in the use of smoke magic. Days before Jubei was set to depart, now that his training was relatively complete, his master had vanished. He left only a letter detailing even more information that would prove to be not as shocking as Okesmay assumed. It revealed that he was Jubei's father, the servant that dared lay with his master. Seeing his son had ignited a fire within the man and now he wanted to return to Crocus and face his demons. This being a final lesson for Jubei, to not fear the repercussions of your decisions and to face them head on.

By the time Jubei had arrived at Crocus, he learned that the home of his mother had been burned down along with all who were within. He later discovered that this was caused by his brother, Lucien, though Jubei didn't bother to ask others as to why. He simply tracked the man down, discovering he was a member of a guild known as Dragon Maw, and introduced himself as his brother. He didn't have a need to investigate the dead, nor did he honestly care to. He ran his story to his elder and when finished volunteered to join the guild. Having spent most of his life with no real direction, Jubei had decided that from then on he'd make himself the most powerful man walking the planet...or die in the effort.

Please provide the show that your Face Claim is from for ease

Also I'm going to need more detail in your magic. Like how is the Smoke produced, do you need some present or do you produce it. And I need some more applications to flesh it out some more, go into detail about what you can do with it, any limitations it may have, anything like that.

So long as you're aware 'by means of transportation' won't allow reduced travel WC's or anything like that

Approved, note that the magic is subject to change as rules change in regards to elemental strengths/weaknesses
